Pale straw in colour, this Semillon displays delicate grassy, summer stone fruit and nostalgic lemon sorbet. It has a fine and delicate, dry palate with an elegantly structured acid backbone & crisp clean finish
- Winemaking Notes
The fruit was machine harvested in the cool of the night, then crushed with only the premium free-run juices being used. Fermentation took place in Stainless Steel tanks under cool conditions. The wine was bottled early to retain freshness of the primary fruit characters and underwent minimal filtration prior to bottling.
- Growing Conditions
2018 was the 2nd year in a row of drought, fortunately for us we were still able to irrigate our vines, so our Spring growth was steady and on target from flowering right through to fruit-set, the main result of the so called heat stress is smaller berries and in turn smaller bunches. While we were really happy with the intensity of flavour in the fruit, we had smaller yields this year.
- Food Pairing
Delicious with freshly shucked oysters
